Absolutely, yes! Massage therapy is safe at any stage of pregnancy and that includes the first trimester. It is an old myth that massage should be avoided during this time. I do recommend being treated by a therapist who has extra training and experience in pregnancy massage.
We use a specialized body cushion system that allows you to lay face down at any point in your pregnancy. As your baby grows, so does the support system. It provides a comfortable brace for your hips, glutes, and ligaments.
There are two options for positions after the first trimester. We can do either side-lying or prone (lying face down) with the support of a specialized body cushion system. Both of the options are safe. The goal is to always make sure you are comfortable.
